Applications and Data Manager


The Doe Run Company is seeking an Applications and Data Manager to lead, manage and direct Doe Run's team in driving process improvement, efficiencies and execution of Doe Run's IT strategic plan across the organization. The Applications and Data Manager is responsible for effective management and governance of Doe Run's business applications, databases, interfaces, reports and related data.

Gather business requirements, write technical requirements, partner with key Risk stakeholders support existing business, integrate and develop new business and develop solutions leading to process efficiencies. 

This Manager will need to be extremely flexible and enjoy a "high-change" environment where priorities can shift from day to day.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership, management and coaching, to IT team members and other internal customers to align with business strategic objectives.
  • Serves on IT Leadership Team: Contributes to development of IT Strategic plan; Develops, measures, monitors key performance metrics; Improves overall IT performance. 
  • Scopes requirements of new applications, plans potential upgrades of existing applications, reviews potential new applications, leads software upgrades.
  • Project and Vendor Management: Develops, plans, coordinates and leads large software implementations and upgrades. Ensures communication between Operations personnel and Applications team as well as external resources (consultants, cloud vendors or other outside vendors).
  • Manage applications, databases, interfaces, reports and related data to provide 99.9% applications reliability.
  • Travels between sites.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience & Credentials:

  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
  • 10-15 years' experience with applications development, integration and reporting
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills to include strong ability to influence decisions
  • Ability to coach and develop others
  • Experience in planning and successfully implementing significant software initiatives
  • Full lifecycle project management experience
  • Strong initiative and problem solving skills
  • A minimum of 2 or more years supervisory experienceITIL Certification Foundations, highly preferredAbility to travel locally up to 50% of the time to other Doe Run locations and operations
  • Must maintain a valid, current driver's license
