The Doe Run company is seeking a Production Supervisor to supervise respective crew to achieve refining and casting production, safety, and environmental goals and requirements of the Resource Recycling Plant located in Boss, Missouri.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Observe production and maintenance areas to assure battery breaking and separation production is progressing. Attend production and maintenance planning meetings to stay abreast of any issues or concerns. 
  2. Review and prioritize work orders and assign work to crew members according to their skills and priorities.
  3. Supervise, coach, and follow up for work completion; ensure safe and environmentally compliant work area and that rules are followed and tools, proper clothing, PPE, and equipment are used. Includes maintain cleanliness of work areas.
  4. Handle requisitions for parts and supplies and complete time sheets, production reports, and other necessary paperwork. Perform housekeeping and safety area reviews.
  5. Monitor and inspect equipment (including mobile equipment if necessary), ensure repairs are made to keep equipment running, and schedule preventive maintenance for plant equipment.
  6. Plan future maintenance and production work a progressive financial vision.
  7. 75% of time should be allocated being present on the floor with on shift crew.
  8. Other duties as assigned

Required Credentials & Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing/industrial environment
  • A minimum of 2 years prior supervisory experience is preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or Metallurgical Engineering is preferred
  • Total Productive Maintenance knowledge/experience is preferred
  • Valid, current driver's license

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adaptive, I-Series, PeopleSoft, and Ultimate
  • Ability to work well with cross functional teams and departments
  • Knowledge of general maintenance of electrical systems
  • Knowledge of lean principles
  • Knowledge and practice of general chemistry
  • Ability to wear company provided personal protective equipment including but not limited to: a respirator, coveralls and metatarsal guard boots.
  • Ability to work 12 hours days (4 on 4 off, Day shift)
