The Doe Run Company is seeking an Electrician to assist with the installation, repair and maintenance of Doe Run electrical equipment in order to ensure process safety and minimize division downtime for our Resource Recycling Divsion located in Boss, Missouri.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Assist with scheduled maintenance and repairs.
  • Work to obtain the ability to manage time and dollar resources in order to provide effective, timely and efficient repair and maintenance services.
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment and the modification of existing equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Credentials:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid, current driver's license.
  • Must pass an aptitude assessment.
  • Electrical Safety Training.
  • 5S/Lean manufacturing certification.
  • Environmental safety and health rules and regulations training.
  • Successful completion of basic electrical course work, vocational training in electrical preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic mathematical skills and the ability to calculate (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions).
  • Basic measurement skills (using tape measure, calipers).
  • Ability to safely operate mobile equipment (e.g., fork lift, skid steer loader).
  • Basic literacy skills.
  • Ability to use small hand tools.
  • Troubleshoot three-phase and single-phase motors
  • Wiring and repairing AC and DC circuits


Physical Requirements: Regularly requires hearing, standing, and walking; frequently requires talking, feeling attributes of objects, grasping reaching with hands/arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; occasionally requires sitting, pushing driving, climbing or balancing, repetitive movement, and moving up and down from/to a sitting position on the floor.  Requires clarity of vision, three-dimensional vision, the ability to judge distance and spatial relationships, precise hand-eye coordination, and the ability to identify and distinguish colors.

Lifting Requirements: Regularly required to lift up to 15 pounds; frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds; occasionally required to life up to 50 pounds.
