The Doe Run Company is seeking an Operations Clerk to provide support services for transloading operations at our Herculaneum, MO facility.  This includes preparing shipping documents for outbound material, receiving inbound material and routing paperwork to the correct parties.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Daily & monthly reporting: prepare information required to perform daily reporting and information tracking. Bill Preparation & Filing:  Generate bills of lading for outgoing shipments.  Deplete & file bills of lading.  Record inbound & outbound truck weight.
  • Coordinate: Answer telephone for directions, schedule changes.  Re-route phone calls for plant personnel.  Correspond with load dock and customer service.
  • Record outbound battery and steel case shipments. Record any lead shipments going to Resource Recycling Division.
  • Send paperwork for inbound battery or purchased lead to BRRD operations
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Credentials:

  • A minimum of 1 or more years' experience in an administrative/clerical role
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc)
  • Experience with ERP systems, PeopleSoft preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Time Management, ability to operate independently

Work Environment:

  • Open Office Environment
  • Regularly required to sit, speak, hear, stand and repetitive movements.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands.
  • Occasionally required to grasp and walk.
  • Rarely required to feel objects, push, drive, stoop, kneel, climb, balance or move up and down.
  • Requires clarity of vision (near and far), ability to judge distance and space relationships, precise hand-eye coordination and the ability to distinguish colors.
  • Rarely required to work in outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, required to wear a respirator, work near moving mechanical parts
  • Rarely required to lift up to 25 pounds
