The Doe Run Company is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to support our Water Treatment plants and mills by ensuring instruments are functional and calibrated properly. The position is located in Southeast Missouri.


  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and conduct periodic calibration of instruments on a wide range of equipment including but not limited to analyzers, PLC and process control equipment, communications network, environmental emission and data logging equipment and field monitoring equipment
  • Rebuild equipment as needed
  • Install, program and calibrate new equipment and evaluate latest technologies for feasibility and efficiencies
  • Train operational personnel on proper use of equipment
  • Create drawings and documents for future reference and maintain records of maintenance projects
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Two (2) to Five (5) years' experience with process control instrumentation, electrical and/or industrial electronics
  • Associate's Degree or technical degree in instrumentation, electronics or electrical engineering
  • Intermediate skills in math
  • Intermediate knowledge of measurement test equipment
  • Intermediate skills in reading wire diagrams and schematics
  • Beginner to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project and other computer skills
