The Doe Run Company is seeking a Security and Compliance Engineer to execute the IT Security compliance, remediation, and systems administration activities throughout the company, which includes security and integrity of data; planning, coordinating, and implementing changes to new or existing security technology; securing over 600 information systems to ensure safeguards are in place; creating and maintaining policies and procedures; conducting audits; and maintaining company-wide security awareness programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Security System Administration - operating and maintaining security-related technologies; such as Endpoint security, laptop encryption, email encryption, spam filters, firewall rules, client management, anti-virus and malware systems, ERP security, and VPN.
  • Software Patching and security remediation - Maintain client management tool for patching. Research, manage, and audit application, workstation, and server patches on a monthly basis.
  • IT Policy and Procedure Compliance - Audit adherence to policies and processes, identify gaps in current processes and evaluate the need for new policies and processes, assist with remediating non-compliance.
  • Isolate and resolve escalated incident tickets related to security systems.
  • Security Training - Implement and manage the annual security awareness training program. Create simulations as necessary and provide metrics. Review metrics and follow up with repeat offenders as needed.
  • Manage third party vendors that assist with day to day operations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Information's Systems or related field
  • A minimum of 1-3 years job related experience
  • ITIL v3 Foundation Certification

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc)
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Experience with HRIS Systems
  • Software Administration and Configuration (firewall, antivirus, spam filters, etc.)
  • IT Security Systems
  • Experience Auditing IT Policies and Procedures
  • Policy and Procedure development
  • Workstation and server patching
  • Analytical and information gathering skills
  • Problem-Solving skills
  • Ability to work Independently
