The Doe Run Company is seeking an Accountant for our Corporate Office to support the Assistant Controller in performing general accounting functions. 


  • Participate and take a lead role in the closing process each month.  This would include preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • General Ledger Business Process Owner: General ledger maintenance, running asset management and depreciation processes, importing bank statements and reconciling of cash accounts in PeopleSoft, creating queries and nVision reports and assist Procure-To-Pay and Order-To-Cash Business Process Owner with maintenance activities such as testing, disaster recovery and upgrades.
  • Prepare month-end financial reporting and analysis
  • Prepare annual Defined Benefit Plan and 401(k) Plan financial statements
  • Function as back up for assigned accounting and/or treasury staff as needed
  • Other duties and projects as assigned including miscellaneous audits and projects


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 2 - 4 years' experience in the accounting department of a mid to large size company
  • General Ledger accounting
  • Account Reconciliation
  • PeopleSoft or other similar ERP experience

  • Microsoft Office Suite Intermediate skills
  • Excel Advanced skills
  • Computer literacy Advanced skills
  • Working part of team
