This Mechanical Engineer (or Civil Engineer) will lead engineering projects for surface and underground operations at our Southeaster (SEMO) Mining and Milling divisions.  Surrounding areas include Farmington, Boss, Bunker, Viburnum, etc.). Successful candiates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and experience working as an engineer.  Project planning and project management skills are highly preferred. (open to relocation)


  • Monitor construction and maintenance projects including water management and stormwater control
  • Inspection of current facilities
  • Create designs and specifications for engineering projects
  • Act as engineering liaison with government regulators
  • Select, specify and purchase materials for projects as needed
  • Supervision of project contractors
  • Provide technical support for all projects related to engineering
  • Support projects related to tailing impoundment storage
  • Administrator of SEMO programs EX: Vibration Analysis, hoist rope inspection, dam inspections, pressure vessels etc...


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • One to three (1-3) years of experience working as a civil or mechanical engineer
  • EIT preparing for professional license in Missouri or Missouri PE preferred
  • Experience working on environmental projects such as water and stormwater management
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project
  • Experience using AutoCAD


Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be an effective communicator (verbal and written), able to offer technical expertise and guidance, building rapport with department, maintenance and production team member
