The Doe Run Company is seeking a Surface Maintenance Supervisor to keep maintenance surface operations running in our Boss, MO Mine and Mill.


  • Plan all jobs, make sure parts are available, organize and prioritize projects, assign appropriate people to jobs; monitor progress. Oversee employee work time and keep track of work orders. Coordinate with employees and outside contractors on special projects.


  • Meet with production people every day and determine what will be done. Discuss priorties with mill superintendent and coordinate jobs.


  • Meet with vendors to look at products that could improve operations. Submit requisitions for parts; assure parts are available as needed.


  • Work with supervisor to conduct audits. ETMS; track and enter items/results into database monthly. Hold safety meetings with employees daily.


  • Coordinate work with other mills and prioritize projects.


  • Other duties as assigned.


  • High School Diploma
  • 5-10 years experience with mill maintenance
  • Supervisory experience

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read micrometers - Intermediate
  • MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of MSHA regulations - Intermediate
