The Doe Run Company is seeking a degreed Accountant with at least 4 years of experience in accounting to work for our Buick Resource Recycling Division located in Boss, MO.  This Accountant will assist the division controller in day-to-day accounting and financial reporting activities.  Surrouning areas include Viburnum, Farmington, Boss, Salem, etc. 


  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts
  • Prepare and enter monthly accruals and closing journal entries
  • Complete account reconciliations and maintain accounting logs
  • Conduct cost and financial analyses as needed
  • Maintain fixed assets and project costing systems
  • Create and present various financial reports


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Four to seven (4-7) years of accounting experience (in manufacturing a plus)
  • Experience working with ERP systems (PeopleSoft a plus)
  • Account Reconciliation
  • Project costing experience

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be an effective communicator (verbal and written), with the ability to present reports and analyses.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Intermediate skills
  • Excel Advanced skills
  • Must be able to go in plant to perform inventory review
